About the Agency
The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems. Our work includes managing My Health Record, Electronic prescriptions, and the 1800MEDICARE app, ensuring a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare.

About the Role 
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, this APS6 Full-time Non-ongoing Business Analyst role operates under broad direction, exercising a high degree of autonomy while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. The position is in place until February 2027, with the possibility of extension. The Business Analyst also supports digital health project delivery, contributes to business process improvements, and fosters clear, effective stakeholder engagement.

The role is responsible for complex problem solving, issues management, and informed decision making to support service delivery outcomes. It involves driving and delivering product design changes aligned with strategic priorities by eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements from key stakeholders. Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst across multiple years
  • Experience in requirements elicitation and business analysis methodologies
  • Strong capability in business process development and documentation
  • Analytical thinking with sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in allied health or public sector environments (desirable)
  • Knowledge of digital health standards (e.g. HL7 CDA, FHIR) and project delivery (desirable)

Eligibility
Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required Baseline security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.
