About the RoleThe Financial Management and Reporting Team sits at the centre of the Finance and Procurement Branch, delivering critical financial insights and analysis that enable informed decision-making and strong organisational performance. As a Finance Business Partner (EL1), you will work in close partnership with business areas to lead key financial processes, including budget development, forecasting, and month-end activities. This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening financial management practices, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, and supporting the effective delivery of programs across the Agency.
The Branch is currently undergoing a period of change, including the refinement of financial processes and operating models. Accordingly, this role requires a highly adaptable individual who is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, can respond to evolving priorities, and can proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency and control.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, you will lead a small team to deliver high-quality financial reporting and advice to senior stakeholders. You will provide clear, actionable insights on financial performance, risks, and trends, while driving continuous improvement and building financial capability across the division. This is an ongoing, full-time EL1 opportunity suited to a proactive and confident leader who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment and is committed to delivering impactful financial outcomes.

EligibilityAustralian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required Baseline security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.
Notes: Order of Merit: Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.
