The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems. Our work includes managing My Health Record, Electronic prescriptions, and the 1800MEDICARE app, ensuring a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare.

The Financial Management and Reporting Team sits at the centre of the Finance and Procurement Branch, delivering critical financial insights and analysis that enable informed decision-making and strong organisational performance. As a Finance Business Partner (EL1), you will work in close partnership with business areas to lead key financial processes, including budget development, forecasting, and month-end activities. This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening financial management practices, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, and supporting the effective delivery of programs across the Agency.

The Branch is currently undergoing a period of change, including the refinement of financial processes and operating models. Accordingly, this role requires a highly adaptable individual who is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, can respond to evolving priorities, and can proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency and control.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, you will lead a small team to deliver high-quality financial reporting and advice to senior stakeholders. You will provide clear, actionable insights on financial performance, risks, and trends, while driving continuous improvement and building financial capability across the division. • Relevant accounting qualification (CPA/CA or equivalent is highly regarded) with demonstrated experience in a similar Finance Business Partner role.
• Strong experience in budget development, forecasting, and financial performance analysis, including variance and trend reporting.
• Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across all levels of an organisation.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accruals, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines; experience with SAP and TM1 is advantageous.

Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required Baseline security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.

Notes: Order of Merit: Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.
