Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of the finance function including account oversight and reconciliation, payroll governance and ATO obligations
Provide detailed monthly analysis and reporting of finance performance to CEO & Finance Sub-Committee
Manage the Organisations Insurance requirements including submission of the annual renewal, management of claims and on-going relationship with brokers and underwriters
Oversee annual external finance audit – ensure sound record management and preparation to ensure satisfactory audit outcomes and financial statement availability for AGM and other governance deadlines
Assist CEO and Management Team with budgets, project acquittals, compliance and registration submissions
Award interpretation and payroll compliance
Strengthening controls, governance and risk management frameworks
Systems improvement and automation
Key Requirements
Must hold Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting
Must have Australian permanent residency or citizenship
Experience
Minimum 5 years' accounting experience ideally in the Community / Not for Profit sector
Skills and Attributes
Strong background in accounting software (MYOB preferred)
Mandatory proficiency in MYOB accounting software required
Strong skills in MS Office suite applications
Background in Community Housing and / or residential tenancy management an advantage
Excellent Communicator and Leadership qualities
Appetite for technology and process improvement
