Disability Support Worker

We're an all-female team, very values-driven and we recently won the 2025 ACT Chief Minister's Award for Excellence in Access and Inclusion. No big deal…Just casually changing the sector!

Now, we're looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team!

This role is not for beginners. The participants you'll be supporting are complex and all deserve workers who already know how to hold calm, build trust, read the room, and show up professionally every single time.

This is a casual role with flexible hours, but the expectations are high because the work matters!

As a Disability Support Worker with Enabled, you will play a vital role in helping participants live safely, independently, and meaningfully in their own lives and communities.

You won't be "just helping out". You'll be part of someone's world.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Providing light assistance with personal care tasks including morning routines and daily living skills

• Assisting with daily living including meals, light housekeeping, and transport

• Engaging participants in social and recreational activities

• Writing clear, professional shift notes and communicating with the wider team

• Advocating for participants and promoting dignity, autonomy, and quality of life

You'll thrive in this role if you:

• Have solid experience in disability or aged care

• Are confident supporting participants with complex needs

• Understand behaviour, regulation, and communication beyond words

• Build trust easily and maintain professional boundaries

• Are calm under pressure and kind by nature

• Hold (or are working toward) a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

• Have a driver's licence and reliable transport

• Are aged 20 or over with current WWVP Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Have Australian work rights
