Position Title: Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance operations across our Residential Aged Care facility and Independent Living Villas, ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
The position is Monday to Friday; however, the successful candidate must be available to respond to urgent maintenance issues after hours and on weekends when required.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities across the Residential Aged Care facility and Independent Living Villas.
Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
Coordinate external contractors and service providers.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, building, and aged care standards.
Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset registers.
Provide project updates and prepare reports for Management and the Board.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee capital works and planned maintenance projects from initiation through to completion.
Manage fleet operations, including vehicle servicing, registrations, repairs, and compliance requirements.
Assist with budgeting and procurement of maintenance-related supplies and services.
Respond to maintenance issues and breakdowns as required.
Provide hands-on support to the maintenance team, including troubleshooting and assisting with maintenance tasks.
Key Requirements
A relevant trade qualification (essential).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance coordination, facilities management, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems and contractor management.
Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work independently.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in aged care, healthcare, retirement living, or similar environments will be highly regarded.
