About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance operations across our Residential Aged Care facility and Independent Living Villas, ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The position is Monday to Friday; however, the successful candidate must be available to respond to urgent maintenance issues after hours and on weekends when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities across the Residential Aged Care facility and Independent Living Villas.

• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs.

• Coordinate external contractors and service providers.

• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, building, and aged care standards.

• Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance requirements.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset registers.

• Provide project updates and prepare reports for Management and the Board.

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee capital works and planned maintenance projects from initiation through to completion.

• Manage fleet operations, including vehicle servicing, registrations, repairs, and compliance requirements.

• Assist with budgeting and procurement of maintenance-related supplies and services.

• Respond to maintenance issues and breakdowns as required.

• Provide hands-on support to the maintenance team, including troubleshooting and assisting with maintenance tasks.

Key Requirements

• A relevant trade qualification (essential).

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance coordination, facilities management, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems and contractor management.

• Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work independently.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in aged care, healthcare, retirement living, or similar environments will be highly regarded.
