Workfast is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our client’s team, a leading open space management and maintenance provider.
Pay rate: $95,000 - $100,000 + tool of trade vehicle, fuel card, phone, and laptop

Candidates must hold a formal trade qualification, ideally in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens. This role requires an experienced leader capable of managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining strong client relationships. This is an advanced operational position for a proactive leader ready to support the Contract Manager by supervising a growing team of approximately 30 staff, across horticulture, mowing, and cleansing teams, alongside two Operations Managers.

What you need
- Mandatory Trade Qualification in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, Landscape Construction, or Sports Turf.
- Extensive experience in horticulture/landscaping practices alongside demonstrated team leadership experience.
- Proficiency with IT tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and corporate business systems (e.g., SAP, invoicing).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to manage client relationships.
- Commitment to high-standard safety policies, quality control, and environmental management systems.
- Ability to successfully pass a National Police Check and hold a valid Driver's Licence.
What you will be doing
- Managing the day-to-day operations of horticulture, mowing, and cleansing teams to deliver contract requirements.
- Mentoring, supporting, and developing Team Leaders, Field Members, and Apprentices.
- Acting as a primary contact for clients, responding to correspondence within two hours, and managing variations.
- Using IT systems to schedule work programs, track progress, and oversee irrigation schedules.
- Driving a zero-harm safety culture by ensuring completion of machinery checklists and leading incident investigations.
- Preparing and delivering monthly operational reporting, including site usage, budgets, and executive summaries.
- Conducting monthly quality audits to ensure site presentation meets strict client standards.
- Identifying site-specific business growth opportunities and preparing quotes using approved costing tools.
