We operate a purpose-built overnight sleep laboratory at Respiratory and Sleep Centre in Phillip, ACT. We have an exciting opportunity for self-motivated and organized individual to join our professional and friendly team. We are seeking medical receptionist with an interest in learning about sleep studies to join our amazing close-knit team at RSCM Woden, busy private practice with 8 Multispecialty Physicians’ practice and sleep lab. 

Desirable Skills  -

  • Demonstrated work experience as a Sleep Technician or CPAP Therapist would be desirable.

  • Ability to be flexible with workdays and hours.

  • Demonstrated strong customer service, consultancy skill, and teamwork skills.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to follow HIPAA policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information.

  • Experience with Medical/Sleep software programs (Noxturnal would be highly regarded).

  • Possession of Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification is desirable. 

  • Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

Duties - 

  • Setup and calibration of sleep equipment 

  • Recording of physiological variables during sleep

  • Cleaning of equipment

  • Liaise and communicate with other team members.

  • Managing appointments and patient enquiries

  • Providing administrative support to the clinical team

  • Ensuring the front desk and daily operations run efficiently

  • Additional duties as directed by the practice manager which may include analysis of sleep studies and preparation of reports as appropriate for the skill level of the applicant.

  6. Good IT literacy

This role will be available as a dual role for a Medical receptionist and sleep technologist. This role offers opportunities to grow and learn in the field of sleep studies. Training will be provided for all new team members. We will be able to negotiate workdays and hours. Previous experience in medical administration and/or sleep study set ups will be desirable but not essential. Salary can be negotiated following the interview based on experience.
