To apply for this exciting career opportunity, please click apply and submit your resume along with cover letter or contact us for further details.Employer is Poppy &amp; Maude Holdings Pty Ltd t/a Pollen cafe <h3>Benefits</h3>BenefitsSalaryThe successful candidate will be paid salary between $74,999-$84,999 per annum plus minimum guaranteed superannuation based on skills and experience. <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Task &amp; ResponsibilitiesJob duties and responsibilities include<ul><li>Planning menu and introducing innovative dishes in consultation with our Head Chef.</li><li>Food preparation and monitoring quality of dishes for both a la carte dining and function service.</li><li>Demonstration of cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures.</li><li>Food service, across all sections in the kitchen, including discussing food preparation issues with the manager, dietician, and kitchen staff.</li><li>Stock control and management, including ordering, examining and storing food stock.</li><li>Maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene, and strictly implementing our OH&amp;S policies .</li><li>Exercise responsibility for the direct supervision of other cooks and other kitchen/catering staff in the restaurant kitchen and other catering services, including allocation of duties, preparation of rosters, approval of overtime and training of all kitchen staff in the absence of our Head Chef.</li><li>Monitor cleaning rosters and food hygiene practices in the kitchen.</li><li>Managing the training and development of apprentice cooks and other staff in the kitchen and other catering services in consultation with our Head Chef.</li><li>To develop and implement workplace policies and procedures as directed by the Head Chef.</li><li>Implement OH&amp;S policies rigorously</li><li>To perform all duties consistent with company policies.</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Qualification &amp; ExperienceTo be a successful candidate you should have<ul><li>Relevant AQF qualification in Commercial Cookery (minimum certificate IV).</li><li>At least one year of relevant work experience.</li><li>A positive attitude and good team member.</li><li>Good Communication skills.</li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.</li><li>Australian work experience preferred in similar environment.</li></ul>
