The Opportunity
Canberra Consulting is seeking experienced ICT professionals to lead technical teams supporting the delivery, sustainment and continuous improvement of critical government systems and digital services.
These opportunities sit within a major Federal Government ICT environment responsible for delivering and supporting business-critical applications used across Australia and internationally.
Working with technical specialists, business stakeholders, architects and delivery teams, you will provide leadership, coordination and oversight across software development, systems design, application support and service delivery functions.
These roles suit experienced ICT professionals who enjoy leading teams, solving complex problems and delivering outcomes in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Responsibilities may include:

Leading multidisciplinary ICT teams delivering business-critical systems and services.
Coordinating technical activities across development, support and delivery functions.
Managing competing priorities, resources and delivery schedules.
Facilitating collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders and external providers.
Supporting agile delivery practices, planning activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to team members.
Translating business requirements into practical technology outcomes.
Supporting operational service delivery, incident management and business continuity activities.
Preparing reports, briefings and updates for senior stakeholders.
Contributing to governance, risk management and assurance activities.
Driving improvements in service delivery, team performance and operational effectiveness.

Skills & ExperienceTechnical Capabilities

Demonstrated experience leading technical teams within complex ICT environments.
Experience supporting software delivery, application development, systems design or operational support functions.
Strong understanding of ICT delivery lifecycles and enterprise technology environments.
Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
Experience managing risks, dependencies, issues and competing priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:

Software development leadership.
Business analysis and systems design.
Application support and service operations.
Azure DevOps or similar delivery management platforms.
ITIL service management environments.
Enterprise application delivery.
Government ICT environments.
Service-critical or high-availability systems.

Security Requirements
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a minimum NV1 Security Clearance.
Candidates currently holding an NV2 clearance will be highly regarded.
