We are seeking an experienced and proactive Infrastructure & Strategic Development Manager to lead Capital Football's infrastructure planning, government relations and funding initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to influence the long-term development of football across the ACT and surrounding regions through strategic planning, advocacy and project delivery.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Infrastructure & Strategic Development Manager is responsible for leading Capital Football's infrastructure strategy, facility planning, government advocacy and grant funding activities.
Working closely with clubs, government stakeholders and community partners, you will develop long-term infrastructure frameworks, advocate for investment in football facilities and identify funding opportunities that support the sustainable growth of the game.
This is a hands-on role that combines strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will develop policies, plans and advocacy initiatives while coordinating projects, preparing funding applications and supporting clubs to improve facilities and access investment opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and implementation of Capital Football's infrastructure strategies, planning frameworks and policies.
Develop and maintain the Facility Master Plan and infrastructure priorities that guide future facility development and investment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local, territory and federal government stakeholders to advocate for football infrastructure and participation outcomes.
Identify, secure and manage grant funding and other investment opportunities that support infrastructure and strategic development initiatives.
Develop submissions, advocacy documents, funding applications and strategic reports that influence policy and investment outcomes.
Coordinate and deliver infrastructure and strategic development projects, including stakeholder engagement, reporting and project administration.
ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic thinker who enjoys turning ideas into outcomes. You are equally comfortable developing long-term plans, engaging with government stakeholders, preparing grant applications and working directly with clubs to progress projects.
You will bring:
Experience in infrastructure planning, project management, government relations, community development or a related field.
Demonstrated success securing grant funding and preparing high-quality funding applications, submissions or business cases.
Strong stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across government, community and sporting environments.
Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, policy documents, submissions and strategic plans.
A collaborative and proactive approach with a genuine interest in community sport and infrastructure development.
