This role sits within a large federal agency responsible for overseeing nationally significant funding arrangements and ensuring the integrity of major government programs delivered across Australia.
The OpportunityJoin a newly established project team within a specialist Risk Analytics function supporting the implementation of new compliance measures under a major national funding agreement commencing from July 2026.
Working with large and complex administered datasets, the team applies advanced analytics, modelling and visualisation techniques to identify emerging risks, monitor patterns of non‑compliant behaviour and support evidence‑based compliance activities.
You are an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL capability and hands‑on experience using SAS, R or Python to analyse large datasets, develop analytical products and deliver actionable insights to a range of non‑technical stakeholders through insights and dashboards (R Shiny / Power BI).
Due to the nature of the work and datasets involved, Australian Citizenship, an active Baseline Security Clearance (or higher) and Canberra based are mandatory requirements.
Salary / RateThere is one APS6 and one EL1 position available.
Both positions are labour hire engagements commencing in July 2026, with initial contracts through to 30 June 2027 and a 12‑month extension option.
Rates will align with current market conditions. Guidance can be provided prior to application.
