Business Development Manager – Capital Sales (Heavy Equipment)

Canberra, ACT | Full-Time

Zoomlion Australia–New Zealand is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across ACT & NSW. This is a capital sales role focused on expanding market presence and sales performance for Earthmoving and/or Aerial Work Platform (AWP) equipment or Mobile crane or Tower Crane or Concrete Machinery.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and delivering profitable sales growth across the ACT & NSW territory. This is a field-based role suited to a results-driven sales professional with strong industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for heavy equipment in ACT & NSW
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with dealers, contractors, and end users
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close
  • Represent Zoomlion professionally in the market, including at industry events
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
About You
  • Proven experience in capital equipment sales
  • Strong understanding of the ACT & NSW construction, infrastructure, or industrial markets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially minded, and results focused
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a national team
