About The Role:


This organisation is seeking a highly skilled APS6 Communications Officer who can quickly grasp complex and sensitive subject matter and transform it into clear, strategic messaging.

Indicative Salary: $102,266.00 – 114,988.00 + Super  
Requirements:

  • MUST have a minimum NV1 Security Clearance held prior to commencement
  • Ability and willingness to Undergo Police Check

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, draft, and deliver high-quality internal and external communications
  • Prepare briefing materials, speeches, talking points, and messaging frameworks
  • Support stakeholder engagement strategies and communication plans
  • Translate complex policy or program information into clear, accessible content
  • Coordinate executive-level communications and approvals processes
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across multiple channels and audiences
  • Support governance reporting, meeting papers, and documentation as required
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a Communications Officer or APS6 equivalent role
  • Strong background in government or large complex organisations
  • Excellent written communication skills with attention to tone and detail
  • Experience preparing executive briefs, reports, and stakeholder materials
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels
  • Familiarity with governance, policy, or program environments highly regarded
