Communications Officer

• Long-Term Engagement: Secure a 12-month contract with a 6-month extension option with option for permanent in an ACT-based role within a complex technical environment.

• Strategy & Consultation: Partner closely with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate technical concepts into clear, strategic communications campaigns from project initiation through to launch.

• Content Creation: Design and develop high-quality communication products, including engaging intranet copy, executive PowerPoint presentations, internal messaging, and tailored promotional materials.

• Continuous Improvement: Research, evaluate, and refine communication procedures, guidelines, and assets to drive continuous improvement across team processes.

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

• Technical Toolkit: Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and experience working with electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS).

• Experience: Proven history delivering outcomes-focussed communications within a complex corporate, technical, or public sector environment, successfully meeting tight timeframes.

• Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and align communications outputs with business needs, departmental priorities, and legislative compliance standards.

• Security Clearance: Must hold an active NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1) security clearance.
