Help shape communications that support Australia's global presenceAn opportunity exists for an experienced communications professional to join a large Commonwealth agency with a significant international footprint, supporting the delivery and adoption of enterprise ICT and cyber security initiatives across Australia and a global network of overseas offices.
Working within a specialised ICT strategic communications team, you will help drive awareness, engagement and adoption of technology programs that support critical government operations both domestically and internationally.
This role would suit someone who enjoys translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging communications and working closely with senior stakeholders, technical specialists and business areas to deliver meaningful outcomes.

The RoleAs the Communications Officer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering communication strategies that support the rollout and adoption of ICT and cyber security initiatives across the organisation.
You will work closely with technical subject matter experts and project teams to understand business objectives, identify communication requirements and create targeted communications products that drive engagement and behavioural change.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies for ICT and cyber security initiatives
- Partner with project teams and subject matter experts to identify communication opportunities and requirements
- Create engaging communication products including:
- Intranet articles
- Internal communications and messaging
- Presentations and briefing materials
- Awareness and promotional campaigns
- Support stakeholder engagement activities across diverse business areas
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of communication processes and products
- Provide strategic communications advice to project and program teams
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes
About YouYou are an experienced communications professional who can quickly build credibility with stakeholders and confidently work across both business and technical environments.
You will bring:
- Experience developing and delivering communication and engagement strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience producing high-quality communication products for internal audiences
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- The ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-focused messaging
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Sound judgement, professionalism and attention to detail
- Experience supporting ICT, digital transformation or cyber security initiatives will be highly regarded
Security RequirementsApplicants must hold a
minimum NV1 Security Clearance at the time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required.
