Residential Window and Door Replacement Specialist

Solace Creations specialises in upgrading Canberra homes with high-performance uPVC double-glazed windows and doors.

We are seeking an experienced carpenter who takes pride in their craftsmanship to join our in-house installation team. You will work on a diverse range of homes across Canberra, from double-brick and brick veneer to monocrete construction - replacing timber, aluminium and steel windows and doors.

This is highly specialised renovation work that requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes. Every project is different, so you'll need to be adaptable, take care in our clients' homes, and enjoy the challenge of custom installation work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working alongside 2 other window and door installers and 1 site leader

• Removing old windows/doors (frames, glass, reveals, architraves)

• Fitting new uPVC frames according to our installation guidelines

• Glazing the double glazed units with the proper techniques

• Using critical thinking and problem-solving skills as each installation is unique to the home and client's requirements

• Applying low-expansion foam, flashings, seals, and weatherproofing so every install performs perfectly

• Cutting and fitting of architraves and trims

• Installing flyscreens, making adjustments and finishing touches

• Keeping client homes clean and communicating clearly with homeowners throughout

What We are Looking For

• Solid experience with hand and power tools, comfortable on a job site

• You take pride in your workmanship and care for our clients and their homes

• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team

• Ready to learn, asking questions and retaining what you are taught

• Physically fit, as this work involves lifting and manoeuvring large frames and glass

• Driver's licence and White Card, asbestos and silica awareness (or willing to get one before you start)

• Locally based with your own vehicle
