Trade Assistant – Electrical & Solar

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the electrical and renewable energy industry while gaining hands-on experience working alongside qualified electricians.

As a Trade Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the installation, maintenance and servicing of residential solar and electrical systems while ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar PV systems and general electrical works.

• Support site setup, preparation, and pack-down activities.

• Load, unload, move, and transport materials, tools, and equipment between sites and the warehouse.

• Assist with warehouse operations, including stock management, organisation and equipment preparation.

• Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision.

• Maintain clean, organised and safe work environments.

• Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to a high standard.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience (minimum 3–6 months) in construction, electrical, manufacturing or a trade-related environment.

• A genuine interest in the renewable energy, solar, and electrical industries.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling and site-based work.

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• The ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Australian working rights.

Required Qualifications & Licences

• Current White Card

• Current Driver's Licence

• Working Safely at Heights certification

• Silica Awareness Training

• Asbestos Awareness Training
