2nd Year Landscape Apprentice

About the role

Become a Landscape Apprentice with Terra Mater Group, one of the leading landscape design and construction companies in the Canberra region. This full-time role is based in various locations in and around Canberra and offers hands-on training to develop your skills in all aspects of landscape construction and gardening. You will work alongside experienced landscape professionals to bring beautiful outdoor spaces to life for our commercial and residential clients.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting with the installation and maintenance of a variety of landscape features, including garden beds, lawns, trees, paving, irrigation, concreting, decking etc.

2. Operating landscape equipment such as hand tools, excavators, skid steers and power tools

3. Preparing and maintaining soil, including fertilizing, mulching, and watering

4. Planting, pruning, and caring for a diverse range of plants and trees

5. Participating in the design and construction of landscaping projects

6. Completing all required training and qualifications to become a qualified landscaper

What we're looking for

1. 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Apprentice

2. Someone with a passion for all things landscaping, working outdoors and has a keen eye for construction.

3. Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks

4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

5. Good communication and customer service skills

6. A willingness to learn and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship

7. A valid driver's license

8. Australian citizenship is required for this position
