The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, kitchen operations, and maintaining food quality standards while working in a busy Korean restaurant environment. <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive salary package of AUD $79,000–$80,000 plus superannuation</li><li>Full-time stable employment</li><li>Opportunity to work in a well-established Korean restaurant in Braddon</li><li>Supportive team-oriented workplace environment</li></ul><h2>&nbsp;</h2> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Korean dishes including Korean BBQ meats, soups, stews, noodles, rice dishes, hot pots, and traditional side dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and quality standards</li><li>Prepare ingredients by cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning meat, seafood, vegetables, and other food items</li><li>Assist with planning daily food preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods</li><li>Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to maintain consistency across all menu items</li><li>Maintain stock levels and assist with stock rotation, storage, and ordering kitchen supplies</li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements</li><li>Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment, including cleaning kitchen equipment and workstations</li><li>Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff where required</li><li>Work collaboratively with the Head Chef, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team to ensure efficient service operations</li><li>Ensure food preparation and cooking processes meet quality and safety standards</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher qualification is preferred</li><li>At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen environment</li><li>Experience working in a Korean restaurant or preparing Korean cuisine is desirable</li><li>Knowledge of Korean cooking techniques, Korean BBQ, marinades, sauces, and traditional food preparation methods is desirable</li><li>Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays</li></ul>
